MICHAEL “POOCH” PUCCINI APPEARS ON
NBC’s
LAST COMIC STANDING 7© TV SHOW
Unique California Comedian Featured
on National Commercial for Popular Stand-up Comedy Reality Series; Acquired
Rare, Booked Audition Without Agent or Manager
(Denver, CO,
June 15, 2010) – On Monday, June 14, 2010, California-born and -bred comedian Michael “Pooch” Puccini appeared on NBC’s Last Comic Standing 7.
In addition to appearing multiple times on the third
episode of the stand-up comedy-based television show, the comedic entertainer
also was included in the nationwide commercial promotion during the week
leading up to that episode - the New
York auditions. With his uncommonly dapper attire and
signature phone prop bit, Pooch was also selected to be one of the few comics used in the “bumper” (the
short commercial teaser leading into the show).
“When the production staff for Last Comic Standing called to inform me that I would be appearing
on the show’s second week, I was absolutely ecstatic,” said Pooch, a comedian who combines a distinct look, props,
song-and-dance, and audience participation with California culture-based material. “Little did I know that I was also being seen
at various times throughout the week nationwide on the commercial promotion for
the show. I would never have known if it
wasn’t for friends across the country contacting me to let me know that they
had seen me on prime-time television.
One friend even sent me a message saying that she had seen me during The Oprah Show!”
Earning a rare, agent-and-manager-less “booked”
audition by sending the show’s casting agents a clip of his “Phones” routine, Pooch felt obligated to present the judges with the
prop bit during the taping. The routine
made it onto the show. Another clip in
which he was featured was when he sported a sad face after being informed that
he would not be moving on to the showcase round.
